About Us
Michael A. Calabrese, the principal of this firm, became interested in working in the construction field in 1977. He has since been a hands-on, multi-skilled tradesman and acquired his General Building Contractor’s license in1986, and a part-time vocational teaching credential in 1989. Over the past fourteen years he shifted his focus and expertise onto developing his consulting skills in construction forensics.
Through his many years experience in the building trades, association with the Contractor’s State License Board arbitration and Industry Expert programs, and introduction to paralegal studies he has successfully assisted lawyers, deputy attorneys general and insurance professionals in litigating complicated and simple cases relating to a wide range of construction matters.
Among his specialty areas is tracing the cause and origin of water intrusion resulting in mold growth and collateral damage; personal injury resulting from faulty construction components; job site safety; standards of care applied; contractor professional diligence; contractor license laws; earthquake repair and cost analyses; cost estimates for building repairs and remodeling; cost comparisons and analyses.
Mr. Calabrese served as a volunteer on the Board of Directors and as Construction Committee Chairman Habitat For Humanity Los Angeles.
